Taking on the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge - I recently read about it in Six Pixels of Separation that I read frequently. One can discuss it, find it honest or dishonest, self-promoting or not ... but it has raised significant money for a great purpose. From a promotion perspective, I think it does a great job.
